Workflow optimisation
Unlike an MS Word document or a PDF file, website contents come in different formats, such as HTML, ASP, ASP.NET, database and Flash, to mention just a few.
Furthermore, in many cases contents are directly managed by Content Management Systems (CMS). Such texts are difficult to export, or can only be exported in limited formats: XML, XLIFF, etc.
The need to suitably export and import texts is essential when contents are constantly being updated: it may not be possible to highlight such updates to the translator, or they may not be required in a particular language, or indeed they may relate exclusively to a specific version.
Naturally, retranslating an entire page just because of a few minor changes is not ideal, either in terms of cost or production time.
Furthermore, costs and production times can be significantly reduced when a new website and subsequent updates contain repetitive phrases or sections. The technology we adopt allows us to determine in advance, at the quotation stage, the number of repetitive terms and phrases contained in the website or page requiring translation, guaranteeing utmost savings at all stages.
