Soget uses Star Transit and Termstar to manage any sized projects based on previous translations and Transit or TMX memories.
Star Transit and Termstar are IT tools that help achieve and maintain a high level of translation quality, while reducing costs and turnaround time.
STAR TRANSIT
With Transit XV you simply import a file for translation, translate the file with suggestions from previous projects, and then export the translated file, delivering it in the source format.
Soget uses the functions provided by Transit XV to prepare precise quotes based on exact word counts. These are submitted to the customer at the start of any new project, highlighting the reduction in the number of words to be translated that may be achieved by exploiting previously translated documents and existing translation memories.
Transit XV supports numerous file formats, including: Adobe InDesign, FrameMaker, XML, HTML, MS Word and Powerpoint; Soget guarantees compatibility with other formats by means of specially developed filters.
The application also supports Unicode, enabling us to provide translations in all the main languages and considerably simplifying the management of Asian languages.
Star also provides an application for the creation of new translation memories based on previously translated texts (text alignment).
TERMSTAR
Termstar is an excellent term base. The ODBC (Open DataBase Connectivity) standard enables compatibility between TermStar and a variety of database formats such as MS Access, MSSQL, IBM DB 2 and Oracle. Accurate management of standardised terminology allows every company to present an unambiguous, coherent front to the global market, and to comply rigorously with international standards.
Termstar searches for terminology on various databases simultaneously.
Soget validates terminology either independently or directly with the customer, who can amend or approve terms online.
