Translation of central European and Baltic languages |

[ Technical translation, localisation and DTP in Czech, Croatian, Polish, Romanian, Serbian, Slovak, Slovenian, Hungarian, Estonian, Latvian and Lithuanian. ] |
Soget's long standing experience in these languages began back in the 1980s, with the production of the Polish documentation for the Fiat Auto Poland plant and concerning the Nuova Seicento produced in the Samochodów Małolitrażowych factory.
Our extensive experience in the translation of manuals, CAD drawings, catalogues and brochures is flanked by technical and printing DTP resources in all Slav, central European and Baltic languages.
We work with over 100 font families, using the diacritic symbols required by such languages (the Polish and Lithuanian ogonek “ą” , the Czech “č”, the Slovak ”ŕ”, etc.)
See "Central European and Baltic languages" for a description of Soget's resources for the management of the relating alphabets and scripts.

We can translate directly onto source files and produce documents in all the central European and Baltic languages, in all the main software formats.
Translations may be carried out in the source format or worked using the leading authoring, Dtp or Office programs, such as:
- Adobe Acrobat, Dreamweaver, Flash, FrameMaker, Illustrator, InDesign, PageMaker
- Broadvision Quicksilver, Interleaf
- Corel Draw
- QuarkXpress
- Microsoft Office System: Expression, PowerPoint, Publisher, SharePoint Design, Visio and Word
- NeoOffice, OpenOffice.org.
We have handled vast documentation projects targeted at important international projects, including numerous drawings in Autocad and other CAD systems.
We operate directly on source CAD files (.dwg, .dwf, etc .), translating repetitive texts automatically and avoiding the re-elaboration of scripts.
These solutions drastically reduce translation costs and production times.

PROCESSES BEHIND EVERY TRANSLATION IN ESTONIAN, LATVIAN, LITHUANIAN, CZECH, CROATIAN, POLISH, ROMANIAN, SERBIAN, SLOVAK, SLOVENIAN AND HUNGARIAN
In order to comply with our ISO 9001 certified quality system, every translation, localisation and DTP project must meet a number of written procedures, in particular:
- estimates are provided for every translation based on the word count, the reduction in costs and production times obtained via the use of translation memories, and other services, such as project management, DTP, printing, etc.
Quotes may be requested 24-7 via our online forms;
- translations are carried out at all times by professional mother tongue translators. Soget selects translators on the basis of their experience, academic training, areas of specialisation and IT skills;
- every translation is managed by an experienced Project manager who collaborates with the customer in defining terminology and creating glossaries, managing translation memories, tracking the job progress and applying our quality system;
- every translation is monitored and subjected to quality controls. We may document our standard controls and any additional checks required by the client upon request;
- we produce, manage and publish translations in all the main Macintosh and Windows software formats.
TRANSLATION MEMORIES AND GLOSSARIES IN ESTONIAN, LATVIAN, LITHUANIAN, CZECH, CROATIAN, POLISH, ROMANIAN, SERBIAN, SLOVAK, SLOVENIAN, HUNGARIAN
All texts needing to be translated into the Baltic and central European languages may be managed by Soget through CAT (Computer Aided Translation) systems such as Across, Sdl Trados and Star, which manage the relative alphabets. This results in considerable advantages in terms of a reduction in costs and production times, as well as offering opportunity of operating directly on source files and guaranteeing uniform terminology.
This latter aspect is essential in the production of quality translations, and indeed to this end Soget offers its clients translation memories and glossaries complying with GUIs and standards, resulting in consolidated sector terminology.
Soget also creates new translation memories (using previously translated texts) and converts existing ones.
ADDITIONAL LANGUAGE SERVICES
