VERSION 3.5 RELEASED!
The most important new features of version 3.5 include automatic spell checking as you type, a global find and replace function across several documents and containers, index enhancements, enhanced copy/paste between quicksilver and windows applications, auto-references to text, double-clicking to open documents and catalogues in a Windows folder from Windows Explorer, enhanced file name handling, enhanced PDF publishing, preservation of CMYK values when publishing, and updated filters.
Since version 3, Interleaf QuickSilver supports Unicode, thus allowing the programme - already considered the most powerful tool for publishing and updating vast and complex documentation cycles - to produce multilingual documentation.

Those responsible for documentation in large companies, technical editors and DTP operators handling large volumes of information through multimedia channels: Internet, press, CD-ROM and PDA.

CHARACTERISTICS:
The main characteristics of the latest version are:
- editing documents in the main formats (XML, Html, PDF and Postscript);
- importing and publishing texts, graphics and database sources, including Microsoft Word, AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel and Oracle;
- differentiated management and domino-effect modification of contents in different publications; creation and management of all the main publishing elements: indexes, references, levels, etc.;
- multi-file publication, preserving links for publication on the Internet or on CD/DVD;
- automatic spell-check and hyphenation.
What it offers:
Thorough text controls (similar to those offered by advanced word processors) and a hierarchical document organisation (SGML and XML).
The programme supports long documents, including as it does management functions capable of managing entire publications (books), as well as containing sophisticated templates and numerous formatting options. It provides in-built high resolution printing support.
Exportation and language management:
Exports in: Adobe PDF, HTML, XML, SGML and RTF.
Interleaf Quicksilver v.3 supports Unicode authoring to edit documents in all the main Western and Asian languages. Arabic, Hebrew and other right-to-left scripts are not supported.
