The localisation of online documentation, and in particular of incorporated software guides and online help guides available on software applications, requires constant focus on the customs of the country of use (date and time formats, currency, measurement units, addresses), the use of the interface's terminology and functional verifications in the local IT context.
Examples of incorporated software guides: stationary embedded help, where information has a fixed position on the programme interface, such as installation screens; process embedded help, i.e. information guiding users, step by step, though operations, such as Wizards; context embedded help, i.e. specific information on the basis of users' expected needs, such as the Microsoft® Office assistant.
