CE - Baltic translations

We carry out translation, localisation and DTP projects in the main central European languages (Czech, Croatian, Polish, Romanian, Serbian, Slovak, Slovenian, Hungarian) and in the main Baltic languages (Estonian, Latvian and Lithuanian).

Soget's longstanding experience in these languages began back in the 1980s, with the production of the Polish documentation for the Fiat Auto Poland plant and concerning the Nuova Seicento produced in the Samochodów Małolitrażowych factory.
Our extensive experience in the translation of manuals, CAD drawings, catalogues and brochures is flanked by technical and printing DTP resources in all Slav, central European and Baltic languages.
We work with over 100 font families, using the diacritic symbols required by such languages (the Polish and Lithuanian ogonek “ą”, the Czech “č”, the Slovak “ŕ”, etc.).

CZECH, CROATIAN, ESTONIAN, LATVIAN, LITHUANIAN, POLISH, ROMANIAN, SERBIAN, SLOVAK, SLOVENIAN AND HUNGARIAN TRANSLATIONS IN ALL THE MAIN SOFTWARE FORMATS
We can translate directly onto source files and produce documents in all the central European and Baltic languages, in all the main software formats.
Translations may be carried out in the source format or worked using the leading authoring, Dtp or Office programs, such as:

  • Adobe Acrobat, Dreamweaver, Flash, FrameMaker, Illustrator, InDesign, PageMaker
  • Broadvision Quicksilver, Interleaf
  • Corel Draw
  • QuarkXpress
  • Microsoft Office System: Expression, PowerPoint, Publisher, SharePoint Design, Visio and Word
  • NeoOffice, OpenOffice.org.

We have handled vast documentation projects targeted at important international projects, including numerous drawings in Autocad and other CAD systems.
We operate directly on source Cad files (.dwg, .dwf, etc.), translating repetitive texts automatically and avoiding the re-elaboration of scripts.
Such solutions considerably reduce translation costs and production times.

Soget can translate and publish files in Interleaf 4 and Quicksilver 2 in Czech, Croatian, Polish, Romanian, Serbian, Slovak, Slovenian, Hungarian, Estonian, Latvian and Lithuanian.

SPECIALISED TRANSLATION IN ESTONIAN, LATVIAN, LITHUANIAN, CZECH, CROATIAN, POLISH, ROMANIAN, SERBIAN, SLOVAK, SLOVENIAN, HUNGARIAN
We mainly specialise in technical translations, especially in the chemical, civil, construction, electronic, electrotechnical, IT, mechanical, metallurgical and oil sectors.

PROCESSES BEHIND EVERY TRANSLATION IN ESTONIAN, LATVIAN, LITHUANIAN, CZECH, CROATIAN, POLISH, ROMANIAN, SERBIAN, SLOVAK, SLOVENIAN, HUNGARIAN

Having an ISO 9001 certified quality system means that we must follow a series of procedures for all localisations, translations and DTP projects, namely:

  • Estimates are provided for every translation based on the wordcount, the reduction in costs and production times obtained via the use of translation memories, and other services, such as project management, DTP, printing, etc.
    Estimates may be requested 24-7 via our online forms;
  • Translations are carried out exclusively by mother tongue professionals. Soget selects translators on the basis of their experience, training, specialisations and IT skills;
  • Every translation is managed by an experienced Project manager who collaborates with the customer in defining terminology and creating glossaries;
  • The PM also updates translation memories, tracks the job progress and applies quality controls;
  • Each translation is monitored and put through rigorous quality controls. Upon request, we can provide a documented report of our standard controls and any additionally requested checks;
  • We produce, manage and publish translations in all the main Macintosh and Windows software formats.

TRANSLATION MEMORIES AND GLOSSARIES IN ESTONIAN, LATVIAN, LITHUANIAN, CZECH, CROATIAN, POLISH, ROMANIAN, SERBIAN, SLOVAK, SLOVENIAN, HUNGARIAN
All texts needing to be translated into the Baltic and central European languages may be managed by Soget through CAT (Computer Aided Translation) systems such as Across, Sdl Trados and Star, which manage the relative alphabets. This results in considerable advantages in terms of a reduction in costs and production times, as well as offering opportunity of operating directly on source files and guaranteeing uniform terminology.
This latter aspect is essential in the production of quality translations, and indeed to this end Soget offers its clients translation memories and glossaries complying with GUIs and standards, resulting in consolidated sector terminology.
Soget creates new translation memories (using previously translated texts) and converts existing ones.

  • Updating technical documentation
  • Localisation of software and websites (websites in central European and Baltic languages)
  • DTP, pre-printing and printing

Soget provides the customer with a PDF file for all documents translated, localised or published in the various central European and Baltic languages.
Thus, the customer may use our translations directly for distribution, consultation and printing purposes, without the need to purchase extra software.

CONFIDENTIALITY AND SECURITY
All Soget's translators are bound by a confidentiality agreement. In addition to complying with the professional secrecy act, we also guarantee the security of all data (protection of servers, firewall, antiviruses and anti spyware programs). We may also encode documents upon request.
