Soget is among the translation providers with the greatest experience in Arabic translations.

Indeed, we have handled the Arabic translation of countless instruction and operation and maintenance manuals, drawings and training documentation for some leading international projects, among which the thermoelectric power stations and desalination plants of Jeddah and Al Jubail, the international airports of Jeddah and Riyadh, the national telephone exchanges of Saudi Arabia and Libya, etc.
We have produced thousands of pages of technical documentation, mainly from English, Italian and German into Arabic, but often also from other languages spoken by sub-contractors.

We have also produced Arabic technical/linguistic components such as:

ARABIC TRANSLATIONS IN ALL THE MAIN SOFTWARE FORMATS
We can translate directly onto source files and produce Arabic documents in all the main software formats.
Translations may then be maintained in the same source format or be worked, internally at Soget, using the mainstream authoring, Dtp or Office programs, such as:

• Corel Draw
• QuarkXpress
• Microsoft  Office: Expression, PowerPoint, Publisher, SharePoint Design, Visio, Word

Arabic XT and Al-Rassam Al-Arabi are also supported.
We hold DTP systems supporting the Arabic script, such as the Middle East edition of Adobe Creative Suite and QuarkXpress.
We also possess additional software (plugins, addons, xtensions, etc.) for right-to-left scripts within standard applications. This allows us, for example to translate Flash movies into Arabic.
Soget is one of the few companies that can translate and produce Flash movies in Arabic, Farsi, Urdu and other languages not directly supported by Adobe Flash.

PROCESSES BEHIND EVERY ARABIC TRANSLATION
To comply with our ISO 9001 certified Quality system, we subject all translations, localisations and DTP projects to a series of written procedures, i.e.:

• Estimates are provided for translations in Arabic (and other 100 languages) on the basis of the actual number of words to be translated, the cost reduction obtained by using a translation memory, and further services, e.g. project management, DTP, printing, and so on.

• Translations are carried out exclusively by mother tongue professionals. Soget selects its translators according to experience, training, specialisation and IT skills. Furthermore, with Arabic, the country of origin is also significant;
• All translations are monitored and put through rigorous quality controls. We may document our standard controls and any additional checks required by the client upon request;
• All translations are managed by experienced Project Managers, who collaborate in defining terminology, drafting glossaries, updating translation memories, tracking the job progress and applying quality controls;
• We can produce, manage and publish translations in the leadings software formats, both for Macintosh and Windows.

ARABIC TRANSLATION MEMORIES AND GLOSSARIES
We produce translations into and from Arabic using CAT tools (Computer Aided Translation) such as Across (Cross Grid Across language server is also supported), Sdl Trados and Star, correctly managing the language’s right-to-left script.
These systems are advantageous in terms of cost reduction and rapid production times, as well as the possibility of working directly on the source formats and guaranteeing uniform terminology.
This latter aspect is essential in the production of quality translations. To this end, Soget offers its clients translation memories and glossaries complying with GUIs and standards, resulting in consolidated sector terminology.
Soget creates new translation memories (on the basis of previously translated Arabic translations) or converts memories with ANSI, Arabic Windows or other fonts in Unicode.

Soget provides the customer with a PDF file for all documents translated, localised or published in Arabic.

Every Soget translator is bound by a confidentiality agreement. In addition to complying strictly with the professional secrecy act, we also guarantee the security of all data (protection of servers, firewall, antiviruses and anti spyware programs). Upon request, we may also encode documents.
