Our Project Managers work with Trados 2007, Term Extract and Multiterm to manage multilingual projects based on Trados translation memories.
These tools underlie the CCM method (Create, Cleanse and Maintain), adopted to improve the quality of our translations and to increase the efficiency of the documentation process, based on Trados translation memories produced and updated internally.
- Create terminology
The creation of specialised glossaries produces consolidated corporate terminology to be used in carrying out quality controls.
The use of MultiTerm Extract facilitates the creation of glossaries and the approval of new terms.
- Cleanse translation memories
The vast range of Quality control functions available through Trados 2007 enables the use of translation memories free of incorrect terms, obsolete translations and grammatical, spelling and formatting errors.
- Maintain translation memories
The use of Multiterm enables an entire terminology database to be kept up to date throughout the process of translating and updating documentation.
The Quality controls available through Trados enable the creation of work flows consistent with in force regulations and targeted at specific customer needs.
Our Project Managers, translators and reviewers boast long standing experience in the use of Trados systems. This allows us to manage complex projects autonomously, handling all technical and language aspects, aligning texts to create new translation memories and managing all document formats supported by Translator's Workbench, SDLX and Tag Editor.
Finally, our DTP department oversees the translated documents, checking they are complete and accurately laid out, in any format, creating master copies and PDFs, and handling all printing aspects or their publication on multimedia devices or the Internet.
Soget uses Trados to translate into all the languages handled by the system in the following formats: HTML, XML, SGML, XLIFF, Interleaf/Quicksilver, Microsoft® Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint®, OpenOffice, StarOffice, Clipboard, Adobe® PageMaker 6.5, Adobe InDesign CS®, Adobe InDesign CS2, Adobe FrameMaker 7® and QuarkXPress.
