PROCESSES BEHIND EVERY ITALIAN TRANSLATION
In order to comply with our ISO 9001 certified quality system, every translation, localisation and DTP project must meet a number of written procedures, in particular:

• Estimates are provided for translations into Italian and other 100 languages, based on the number of words to be translated, the impact on costs of using a translation memory, and any additional services such as project management, DTP, printing, etc.
  Estimates may be requested 24 hours a day through our online forms;
• Translations are carried out at all times by mother tongue translators. Soget selects translators on the basis of their experience, academic training, areas of specialisation and IT skills;
• Every translation is monitored and put through rigorous quality controls. The result of standard controls and any additional checks requested by the client may be documented;
• Every translation is managed by a Project Manager with longstanding experience in the field, who actively collaborates in defining terminology, creating glossaries, managing translation memories, tracking the progress of every job and applying Soget’s corporate quality system;
• We produce, manage and publish translations in all the main Macintosh and Windows software formats.

TRANSLATION MEMORIES AND GLOSSARIES
We produce translations into and from Italian using CAT tools (Computer Aided Translation) such as Across, Trados and Star.
The main advantages of using such systems are a reduction in production times and costs, the ability to work directly in source formats, and terminology uniformity.
As regards this latter aspect, fundamental to the quality of translations, Soget offers the client translation memories and glossaries created in conformity with GUIs and standards, guaranteeing consolidated technical and specialised terminology.

ADDITIONAL PROCESSES BEHIND THE MANAGEMENT OF ITALIAN TRANSLATIONS

• Customers outsource Corporate Translation Management (CTM) services to Soget.
  Many companies understand that a significant portion of a translation project is spent in finding the right translator and managing the work flow: languages, translator availability, passage of information, deadlines, updates, etc. Soget holds the software and the resources required to integrate its translation services with the customer’s IT framework, producing the final product at the agreed deadline, in the selected language and format, and, above all, without tying down the client’s internal staff.
• Soget also updates existing multilingual documentation.
  Technical manuals and product catalogues may from time to time be amended, whether to the extent of a few words here and there or of entire sections. Such amendments may require foreign language versions to also be updated, according to the local need. We translate technical texts, updating and maintaining translation memories, performing any DTP operation required (drawings and all graphical components), issuing the final product and archiving same.
